ABOUT THE PERSIS LOGO
Innovation
The Persis logo is based on a royal pin from the Persian Achaemenid Dynasty from about 550 B.C.E. The dynasty draws its name from King Achaemenes, who ruled Persia (Persis) between 705 BCE and 675 BCE. The three pillars of the Achaemenid belief system were:
- Good Thoughts
- Good Words
- Good Deeds
These principals helped the Achaemenids manage a significant territory, stretching from present-day Turkey to China, for over 200 years, during which time they were noted for three innovative accomplishments:
- First known accounting and treasury system
- First postal system
- First highways and trade routes, such as The Royal Roads and The Silk Road
They aspired toward innovation and innovative management, and Persis is driven by the same desire to innovate—and to do so in an honorable, productive way that enables all the players to succeed.
Note about the picture on this page: It is from Perseopolis, a progressive and opulent city that was a symbol of the empire serving both as a ceremonial center and a center for government.
