HOW WE ACCOMPLISH SO MUCH
We establish small, flexible, nimble teams of experts who are able to tackle problems fast and head-on. They quickly establish a base, iterate rapidly based on feedback from clients, and reach solutions in record time. With our Scrum, Agile and Lean expertise, we regularly replace bigger, better-known organizations that have failed to deliver. No wonder we've been described as a "Small Giant."
Driven more by success than profit
Our early — and continued — success comes from our approach:
(1) Client success first
(2) Profitability second
Very large companies are often fundamentally driven by profit. When you choose a large firm, you may think you’re safe with a big name, but large companies do fail in this space. Often, they have an army of bench developers — a model that (a) necessitates that the company recoup the cost of that bench, even if the available bench developers don’t have the most relevant skills, and (b) inflates project budgets. Persis, on the other hand, does not saddle clients with the overhead of bench developers.
Why Scrum?
The old waterfall approach to project definition and multi-vendor bidding — the RFP —has proven to be ineffective, resulting in a total cost of ownership that is often too high and projects that rarely remain “market relevant” by delivery time. Through Scrum and Agile process, we start with high-level objectives and establish short-term goals. These are followed by two-to-four-week sprints aimed at delivery of short-term objectives. We then use a Continuous Integration Process to build on these short sprints and rapidly zero in on a product that meets the ultimate needs of the client. The client and Persis both learn rapidly during this process.
We have even applied this process to situations in which multiple vendors (including international hardware vendors) have been involved, delivering our portion regardless of other vendor timelines or dependencies, and ultimately achieving a successful integration.
