Q. What do you do for Persis?
I provide IT program and project management consulting services to Persis clients. I’m currently assigned to the Volkswagen Group of America.
Q. What's your area of expertise?
Within the program and project management discipline, my capabilities include:
- Portfolio Management
- Integration Management
- End-to-End Project Delivery
These capabilities apply to both infrastructure and application environments.
Q. How did you get into this field?
My IT career started 28 years ago. Program and Project Management from an IT perspective represented uncharted territory. I was fortunate enough to participate in the maturity of the discipline as a resource that delivered IT services as well as a manager who purchased IT services.
Q. Where do you see the connected world industry going?
I think we will continue to see the advent and acceptance of smaller devices. These devices will be accompanied by a whole new generation of applications (and users). This will enable connected solutions, and ultimately business partnerships, not possible in today’s data management and delivery model. Lastly, content ownership will be critical as barriers to connectivity continue to fall.
Q. If you could work on any connected world project – if money or a willing client weren’t an issue – what would that project be?
There is nothing more exciting than being part of a team in a new business venture delivering emerging technology.
Q. If you weren’t working with Persis, and you could do anything you wanted to do, what would your dream job be?
If I were blessed with the talent, a PGA touring pro.
Q. What is your favorite book and/or TV show and/or movie and/or food?
Too many books, movies and TV shows to list! Food – I like Italian or BBQ.
Q. What do you do in your spare time?
I'm an avid golfer.
Q. Is there something you’ve done, some talent you have, or some other interesting fact about you that people are surprised to learn about?
Each summer I plant a tomato garden. Some years are better than others.
